[Solved] GoFlex Home DVB-C/T

Postby x010 » Fri Nov 25, 2016 3:04 pm

Hello,

I'm trying to get my Astrometa USB DVB-T/C stick working on my GoFlex Home.

For DVB-C and DVB-T support this USB stick needs the following drivers: Realtek RTL2832, Panasonic MN88473.

The Realtek drivers work out of the box and i get the DVB-T frontend but the Panasonic driver is missing for the default kernel and no DVB-C frontend is created.

Downloaded the MN88473 firmware and tried to compile the v4l-dvb from aur but i got an error when i tried to install the compiled modules.

Am I missing something? Can anybody explain what needs to be done to get that missing module?

Thanks in advance.

What's the actual config option. I will include it in the next kernel update if the driver is in the linux tree

The module is already part of the kernel config: https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... nfig#L3609

Are you using linux-kirkwood-dt? Make sure your uboot is up to date if you have installed archlinuxarm for the first time a long time ago.

I'm using linux-kirkwood not the linux-kirkwood-dt. Uboot is the latest mainline with recovery.

Can i just replace my kirkwood kernel with the kirwood-dt or do i need to edit uboot as well?

Thank you for the reply.

latest uboot-goflexhome ? If yes you can just replace the kernel and reboot. Nothing else needs to be done.

Thanks you for your help.

I had the 2016.05 uboot but now i've updated both the kernel to kirwood-dt and the uboot to 2016.09 and everything is working fine.
