Installation issues with tar and bsdtar

Postby jcconnell » Fri May 18, 2018 11:19 pm

Trying to install Arch on a Go Flex Home. I'm running another installation of Arch on a USB drive and I'm trying to install a new installation onto a HDD attached to the SATA port.

I'm getting $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'SCHILY.fflags') while using tar and bsdtar is reporting a failure to set file flags.

I haven't been able to identify any solutions from searching and I've tried multiple methods to install without success. Does anyone have any ideas?

From digging around I've found that the latest packge is not compatible with bsdtar version 3.1.2 (don't quote me on the exact), however it is compatible with bsdtar version 3.3+.

What I did was mount the drive to a linux virtual machine and extracted the data there. Hope that helps.
