SAMBA won't start - D-BUS error

Postby bobloadmire » Sun Oct 20, 2013 7:41 pm

I have installed samba via -Syu

to start samba

Code:

[root@lan ~]# systemctl start smb.service

[root@lan ~]# systemctl start nmb.service

to enable samba on boot
Code:

[root@lan ~]# systemctl enable smb.service

[root@lan ~]# systemctl enable nmb.service

I get "Failed to get D-Bus connection: No connection to service manager."

everytime. Multiple reboots, no luck. Is there a definitive guide anywhere? I keep pulling bits and pieces from random websites about the install process.
