did I brick?

Postby barond » Sat Aug 02, 2014 2:17 am

Hi guys - pretty new to this - sorry. I hope someone can help
Got a pogoplug mobile and followed the instructions here http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... g-series-4

BUT, as I am an idiot, I was not careful and SKIPPED steps

9
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'D')ownload and install Arch Linux ARM:
cd alarm
wget http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM ... est.tar.gz
tar -xzvf ArchLinuxARM-kirkwood-latest.tar.gz # This will take a long time
rm ArchLinuxARM-kirkwood-latest.tar.gz
sync # Takes a while if you are using a flash drive

and 10
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U')nmount the drive:
cd ..
umount alarm

And went on to step 11$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Download the U-Boot installer and run it:
cd /tmp
wget http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ppv4/ppv4-install.sh
chmod +x ppv4-install.sh
./ppv4-install.sh

So now, I have a constant blinker and no connection to it.

Is there a way to reset or something?

Thanks

No you didn't brick it assuming the uboot installation went okay.

All you need to do is setup the USB drive. Since the Pogoplug Mobile/Series4 doesn't boot back into the default Pogoplug OS with the new uboot (normal), you'll need to setup the USB drive using a linux computer or linux live boot cd.

You can also revert - http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5 ... s-ui-tabs3 and start over
