Thank you. I thought that was the case based on what I'd read (i.e. must modify U-boot vars to boot from a different partition), but wanted to confirm.

I've tried 2 separate cables to splice to my USB to TTL. In the first case, the connector was too small for my UART. The second one was slightly too large. These cables are cheap ($1.50 + $4 - $5 shipping, x2 so around $11 so far, plus the USB to TTL), but without knowing the exact spec of the connector, I'm shooting in the dark here. I've Googled for board specs for the SheevaPlug/Tonidoplug but haven't found anything helpful. Marvell's Kirkwood page has some specs, but the TonidoPlug board is a slightly modified version of the SheevaPlug.

Any guidance here would be appreciated.
