Ok so i recently rebuilt my pogoplug following the official directions http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/pogoplug-v2-pinkgray and then added lots of stuff webmin/transmission/pytivo/plex/samba all following this http://blog.qnology.com/2013/03/tutorial-pogoplug-e02-with-arch-linux.html
Then I started getting things moved over the the pogo plug, I had some problems when getting python to run pytivo, I think I ran $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -Syu linux-firmware')
and it did not seem to effect anything at the time. But now I can not login to the root account, I had not changed the password from root but still could not login. I had webmin up and running and could log in to that with root/root and from there I tried to change root password and it never took, the hash would change after I changed it and even be the same after a reboot, but I could never get SSH to accept root account. So I used webmin to make a new account and eventuially went in to the sudo list and added that user so I would have sudo root. Even from SSH with the sudo root I can not get the root password to work.
With all that done I decided to give up and start over again... So I unplug the flash drive and rebooted to stock, but stock would never come up. So now I that is where I am I thought my uboot was broken and put the arch flash back in and loged in a my user sudo root and then tried to reinstall the uboot from http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/pogoplug-v2-pinkgray but the uboot from there will not install, is that cause I am in arch and not stock? Do i have to dump the http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM-kirkwood-latest.tar.gz back on the flash drive now from a linux box to get this to work? Also I think I understand that the uboot no long lets us boot into stock and we need to replace stock with a rescue rom http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=8383 but this requires you to mess with the uboot, how do I confirm that my uboot is not screwed up?
