GoFlex Net cannot enter as root

Hello guys, I am Argent.

I installed ArchlinuxARM on my GoFlex Net as explained by the guide but I cannot enter as root.

I tried a little the device with his original firmware to check it worked, re-activated ssh with a password of mine.
Then I went for installing ArchlinuxARM, rebooted and boom!
I can login to alarm but cannot login to root with puppy from windows10.
Tried to edit some files with Puppy Linux and Knoppix but still a no go.

Right now I have a Ubuntu 64 bit with qemu and I am trying to chroot and I am at this point:

"chroot /media/ubuntu/6478678 /usr/bin"

and it will say

"chroot: failed to run command '/bin/bash': Permission Denied"

I need root to install webmin and packages.
If you say a fresh install would be better just tell where it is, I can try that!

Stop logging in as root. It's a bad practice anyways.

However, if you read the official instructions, what is needed to become root is clear.

As for chroot'ing, you can't chroot from an x86 to an ARM userland.

Trouble is I am unable to log in as root at the moment.
Official instructions for my device say that logging as root/root works, it does not.
I just want to install things as root (webmin, transmission, samba..).

root/root will NOT work over SSH.

I feel dumb now. Really.
I thought I needed to root to install packages with pacman.

Is there an easy way to install from pacman with the alarm user over ssh?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I am new to ArchLinux.

as the alarm user you have two options:

1. type su, enter root password
2. give alarm sudo rights

You can't do second option because sudo is not installed by default.

Just Login as alarm/alarm
Then
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'su root')
and you are root. Install sudo, put alarm user in sudoers list. Done. Google is your friend here.

Maybe I have successfully deleted root password.
Your istructions do not work at the moment.
I may reset my system to follow your steps if I find a guide.
