/boot/cmdline.txt overwrite

Postby drw77 » Sat Dec 25, 2021 12:58 am

The most recent update (pacman -Syu) appears to have overwritten `/boot/cmdline.txt.`
There was a custom definition for
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'root=UUID=<external usb UUID>... ')
but now says
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'root=/dev/mmcblk0p2...')
which prevents this particular system from booting.

Is this intended behavior? If so, is there an elegant way to ensure that the root target automatically remains constant through updates?

I'm posting here because I think this is specific to ARM6 (Pi)--apologies if I'm in the wrong place.
Finally, thanks for any help or advice in advance...and in general--Arch Arm is very much appreciated.

You'll need to diff .pacnew files if you want to run Arch/Arch ARM
