Installing kodi-standalone-service on Raspberry Pi 1

Postby orpheus112 » Sat May 18, 2019 12:09 pm

Hello,

i tried to install kodi-standalone-service from AUR on my Raspberry Pi 1 (following this wiki-article: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kodi#Running_standalone) by cloning from the git repository ($this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/kodi-standalone-service.git')) and making the package ($this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'makepkg -si')). Howeever, i do get the following error $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '==> ERROR: kodi-standalone-service is not available for the 'armv6h' architecture.'). So, is it not possible to install kodi-standalone-service on the Raspberry Pi 1?

I put that there to prevent this very thing; note that the kodi packages for Arch ARM ship with kodi.service for the RPi.

Commented in the PKGBUILD in the AUR:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PKGBUILD', '
')pkgdesc="Systemd service to run kodi in stand-alone mode without a DE"
# Do NOT attempt to use this package on Arch ARM! This is only for x86_64.
# You have been warned.
arch=('x86_64')

And on my upstream URL's README: https://github.com/graysky2/kodi-standa ... e#arch-arm
And now on the Arch Wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?ti ... did=572765

For future reference, you can direct makepkg to ignore the Arch array with the -A switch.
