Transmission crash every few minutes

Postby fasolens » Sat Nov 30, 2013 8:23 am

Hi there,
I'm using Raspberry Pi as my home media center. I have installed transmission daemon to download. Every few minutes transmission appears to be down and I have to enter $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'systemctl enable transmission') to start it again.
It there any way to check what happens with transmission and why it became down?

run it manually in foreground to see the errors:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'transmission-daemon -f')

I started it manually

there is what I got on console:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
[09:19:04.073] UDP Failed to set receive buffer: requested 4194304, got 344064 (tr-udp.c:78)
[09:19:04.075] UDP Failed to set send buffer: requested 1048576, got 344064 (tr-udp.c:89)
Killed
')

I have no idea why it was killed. How can I check this?

it might have been consuming too much memory. How much ram you have assigned for GPU in config.txt?

Where can I find config.txt file?
I have Pi with 256MB of RAM

Earlier I had Debian installed on it and never had this problem.

I found config.txt file.

I had such configuration connecteg with gpu:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
gpu_mem_512=316
gpu_mem_256=128
cma_lwm=16
cma_hwm=32
cma_offline_start=16
')

Using swap?

No. And on my previous Debian system Pi worked also without swap. Is it better to enable it in 256mb version?

I left 64mb for GPU, I don't use HDMI output so I suppose 64mb is enough. Now transmission works without issues.
