Fail2ban doesn't catch anything with pyinotify

Postby Anthony25410 » Sun Jan 26, 2014 5:05 pm

Hello,
Fail2ban doesn't catch anything with pyinotify since the upgrade to 0.8.12, whereas it works with gamin.
Even in verbose mode, I don't see any error in the logfile, and fail2ban detects pyinotify, so I don't see what is wrong...
I checked on the github page and found nothing about this.

Anyone else get this problem ?
Thank you !

Never used it myself, so can't directly help here. But did you use https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fail2ban to set it up? Specifically it seems that it needs python2-pynotify to be installed separately. Otherwise I don't see any major changes in the new version https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit ... 02665792ad

Thank you for your answer ! It used to work before the 0.8.12 version, and yes I followed the wiki page.

Edit : I opened an issue on the fail2ban github, and it seems to be an upstream problem : https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues/597
