[Solved] hdmi state detection on RasPi

Postby pascalPi » Sun Aug 17, 2014 8:22 am

Hello,

not sure it's related to distro or upstream,
but since last update - after many months without update, admittedly - the hdmi state change is no more detected.

i.e. : if I turn on / off whatever is connected to hdmi :

/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s shows always the same output line
/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -M is silent

(nothing else changed in my tv installation)

did anyrhing change regarding this ?

I looked at the updated config.txt documentation, tried some options, to no result.

Any help as how to troubleshoot this is welcome !

thanks

P.

Hello !
I've solved nearly all my problems... by a kerne update.

Tried the "-latest" packages,
thus using kernel 3.16

-> hdmi detection works again
-> xbmc related problems solved altogether

Great !

let's check what problems will come next ... ;) naaah, kidding.
