[SOLVED] RPi cmdline.txt root= changed from p5 to p2

Hi *,

I see the latest update changed cmdline.txt. Among the need to add rw (more info) The root= also changed. The new file has /dev/mmcblk0p2, while the old one has /dev/mmcblk0p5.

My setup is:

Should I change it to mmcblk0p2 too? Safe?

You should keep it at partition 5 since you probably installed a while back from an image. New installation instructions don't require you to have an extended partition, hence your rootfs partition effectively becomes #2.
