Tenda W311U not working after recent update

would the configuration make the interface not show up? I am thinking it should show up if the configuration was wrong but just not function properly.

I know the wifi on the Pros is funky, and its a 3090

ok tool the easy way out and got a different adapter Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN

i can set it to "up" and iwconfig

IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:"laptop"
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:0000-0000-00
Power Management:off

But dhcpcd wlan0 times out. Also cant ping anything if i set a static ip

Fixed it had WIRELESS_INTERFACE="wlan0" in my rc.conf when i removed it , it started working

I may have found what breaks loading ralink devices. When you install the tool "IW" Ralink devices no longer work correctly and removing IW doesnt fix the problem. Any ideas? I cant change the transmit power of my alfa card without iw so im only using 100 mW out of 2 watts !

For some reason it works after I installed the CRDA package which installs IW as well. Not sure why but now i can successfully change country and txpower
