Netgear WG111v2 USB WLAN Adapter

Plugging in devices such as LAN adapters, Wi-Fi cards, printers, etc. to Arch Linux ARM.

Netgear WG111v2 USB WLAN Adapter

Postby nuggistar » Fri Jun 10, 2011 12:55 pm

Hi there,

i have another question: I still have the Pogo with the OXNAS board, B04.

Is it possible to use the Netgear WG111v2 USB WLAN Adapter in the Pogo to gain Internet access over my router? I don´t wanna use my lan cable any more, so the Pogo would be more flexible...

Maybe someone has some hints or a tutorial (step by step) for me..

Thx

First, check linuxwireless.org for compatability, and then we'll see if any modules are needed, etc.

The v2 works, I bought a "v2" and it turned out to be a v1
Don't know if firmware is already on your system but google p54 firmware on just kernel.org site for it

I have to double check that the module requirements are there. I'm unsure if that direct support was in the kernel 2.6.31.6 sources or not.

Plug it in and see what dmesg says. If whse has included the module, you will see signs.
Without the module and firmware it will not work.
You already found where firmware is http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/p54
