SATA connection on Non-POGO PRO

Postby Aarshad » Sun Jun 19, 2011 5:45 pm

I was wondering if the SATA connector on a non-PCIe board POGO (B04) can also be used with a SATA HDD or is this only possible on a POGO-PRO version.

Also would it be possible to install the rootfs/Arch Linux ARM on a SATA based USB stick for better Arch Linux ARM OS performance ?

Yes.

All OXNAS boards have the SATA connector active. It is not related to the PCIe bus.

You can dd from your USB to your SATA drive once it is running. and this will give you a full copy.

Good to know !

Since everywhere else the POGO-PRO & SATA connector are discussed together.

That is because the B0x lines are new, and all prior development for OXNAS was all on the pro
