Problem with small micro SD card

Plugging in devices such as LAN adapters, Wi-Fi cards, printers, etc. to Arch Linux ARM.

Problem with small micro SD card

Postby Minou » Thu Dec 27, 2018 2:52 am

I have funtoo linux installed on 2 Odroid HC2 and one Odroid HC1
I have been trying to get distcc to work with them and it keeps crashing so I decided to check if I would have the same problem with ArchLinux

I have 2TB disks on the HC2 boards and a 1TB disk on the HC1 board.

I changed the UUID in boot.ini on the 2GB disk to boot on the archlinux partition instead of the funtoo partition.
It booted OK but went into a mode for recovery. I was puzzled because I use the same u-boot and same kernel as I did on funtoo.

Archlinux didn't recognize the micro SD at all

The fix was to replace it with a 64GB micro SD.

Any idea how to fix the bug? Having to use a 64GB for boot when the 2GB should work fine is nonsense.
