Howto make module quicker next time you upgrade the kernel
Change to
KVER := $(shell uname -r)
in the Makefile, do this just once, then in future
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cd rtl8188C_8192C_usb_linux_v3.4.3_4369.20120622
make clean
make
cp 8192cu.ko /usr/lib/modules/extramodules-3.1.9--raspberrypi/
depmod -a
modprobe 8192cu')
That's it!

I tried following the guide, but i can't get mine working.

I'm using arch linux (or Linux raspberry 3.1.9-20-ARCH+) on my raspberry pi with a USB Wi-Fi adapter W/ a rt18192cu chipset.When i try to compile the driver all i get back is this:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@raspberry rtl8192CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726]# make
make ARCH=armv6l CROSS_COMPILE= -C /lib/modules/3.1.9-20-ARCH+/build M=/root/rtl8192CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726 modules
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-3.1.9-20-ARCH+'
Makefile:567: /usr/src/linux-3.1.9-20-ARCH+/arch/armv6l/Makefile: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux-3.1.9-20-ARCH+/arch/armv6l/Makefile'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-3.1.9-20-ARCH+'
make: *** [modules] Error 2
[root@raspberry rtl8192CU_linux_v2.0.939.20100726]#')

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I spent 2+ hours on this last night to no avail. Plus i'm new to both arch linux AND ARM, SO i'm kinda lost here :/

Thanks

Good news, delete module in extramodules, it's now already made with the kernel.
If your frightened by glibc issue, the pacman -Sy linux-raspberrypi linux-headers-raspberrypi sould get it, or update to latest image
