Plugging in devices such as LAN adapters, Wi-Fi cards, printers, etc. to Arch Linux ARM.

Epson Stylus DX8400 using cups.

Postby aliasneo » Thu Mar 17, 2011 5:51 pm

I managed to get CUPS installed and the driver for my Epson, In Webmin it shows up and appears to be running fine but I can't print to it.

Can anyone suggest some command line things I can do to check the status of the printer and try to find out what might be going wrong. I'm not familiar with cups but I desperately need to get this printer networked asap.

Thanks

ServerAlias *
in the cups conf file helped me with a similar issue (printer there but doesn't print)
Note you must stop cups before you edit
