Can't install a GUI Series 3 Chromebook

For some reason, I cannot get a gui working on my Series 3 Samesung Chromebook. Whenever I start the X server it says that connection was refused, and when I go to type 'xinit' it says no screens found. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Did you install xf86-video-fbdev ?

I do, and I even reinstalled just to verify. Still no luck

As a user, or root?

As root. I had some troubles making a user and giving it super user privileges.

I'm sorry, what do you mean? I know the use of the commands but I haven't been able to give my user the ability to use them.

Never mind, I had a typo in my visudo. My user now has sudo permissions.
