I tried the documentation for the Xwrapper.config/xinit config, but still had no luck.

The only way I could get the xf86-video-odroid-c1 driver to work correctly was to use a display manager (lxdm).

I wiped the system, reinstalled, created a non-privileged user, then installed these packages in this order:

    xf86-video-odroid-c1
    xorg-server xorg-server-utils xorg-xinit
    xfce4
    lxdm

I rebooted, then edited the lxdm.conf file to make sure it launched xfce, enabled/started lxdm (via systemctl) and everything worked great after that.

Note that I did not place an .xinitrc file in the non-privileged user folder or do any other X-related config.

Have you had any luck starting Kodi in XFCE4?

I just finished installing Kodi. It ran great until I tried to watch a standard MP4 movie, then it core dumped...

I'm using the odroid-c1-libgl package that was installed along with the xf86-video-odroid-c1 driver.

As for Kodi, I installed the latest version straight from the repository (pacman -S kodi).

What about this type of package
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -S kodi-c1')

It looks like I did indeed install the wrong Kodi package.

I removed Kodi (pacman -Rs kodi), then did a pacman -S kodi-c1 to install the correct version.

This install fails with a 404 for library aml-libs-c1-r11.820b12a-4-armv7h.pkg.tar.xz. I have several mirrors setup in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and they all are failing on this file.

My bad...

I did a pacman -Syy, then pacman -Syu and everything installed well. Kodi launches and runs okay up until I play a movie, then all I get is a black screen. I can see the play controls/menu system, but i never see any video. I'm able to hit 'stop' and exit normally, so I'm thinking it might be a video codec or some library/driver missing from my Arch install.
