Yes, this did the trick for me, too (also on Raspberry Pi 2). But Watching TV through Kodi isn't as fluent as with Raspbmc on armv6 Pi. Some channels don't work at all. The same channel streams flawlessly to another device.

i was able to install and use pvr as described by nocrea at my cubox-i4pro.
unfortunately i am not able to use deinterlace on live tv, it is shown greyed out.
