upgrade with -Syu to odroid-xu3 3.10.92-3

i did a fresh and clean install following the instructions for odroid xu4. system ok, including web with dhcp.
then i upgraded with pacman -Syu
moving to llinux-odroid-xu3 3.10.92-3
(whereas i get with uname -a linux alarm 3.10.82.8-ARCH).
i cannot connect to the web anymore.
systemctl status systemd-network gives as status "Shutting down ..."

i am not certain what to do being an archlinux newbie. how can i achieve that the running kernel is the same (10.92) version as is current? (i tried to sd_fusing, but that did not work. would i have to recreate the zImage? if so, how?)

Did you reboot after updating the kernel?
