Migrating from pi2 to Odroid-XU4

Postby FunkinStoopid » Tue Nov 01, 2016 4:25 am

Hello
I wanna switch my NAS from Raspberry Pi2 to Odroid-XU4. Both have the same architecture. So does anyone knows if I can use my old installation, remove PI2 packages, install the kernel package of Odroid-xu3 and here we go baby!

You will need to at least prepare the system correctly for the boot behaviors of the XU4. You may be able to re-use a tarball of the system as you had it, but it will be easier to install from scratch.

It will be easier but longer :) . That's why I'd like to use my old system. When you say re-use a tarball, you mean xu4 tarball or pi2 tarball?
To give a try, I installed a pi2 system on a new sd card. I removed kernel packages, delete fat32 partition, grew up ext4 partition, installed xu4 kernel and flashed with sd_fusing.sh. Unfortunetly, xu4 doesn't boot.
