linux-armv7-odroidc1 4.18.11-1 - how to ?

I run an Odroid C1+ headless on a SD card.
I'd like to use the linux-armv7-odroidc1 4.18.11-1 kernel.
I'm aware of the limitations of the mainline kernel on C1: http://linux-meson.com/doku.php

1.- Does it need an updated uboot as for C2 ? during the packages update, no warning for that.
2.- or does it need to change boot.ini parameters ? and then which ?

I've tried to find something so sorry if the answer is on a post somewhere.

I have exactly the same problem getting this LINUX-ARMV7-ODROIDC1 4.18.11-1 up.

Was not able to find any documentation or hint about hot to get it running.

Any help would be highly appreciable.
