Installing Arch over Chrome OS is there a better guide

A friend gave me an old Samsung Chromebook and I would like to get rid of Chrome OS and replace it with Linux. That's when I found these instructions https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... chromebook

HOWEVER, I do not want a dual boot system. I want the unit to boot straight into Arch Linux.

In tinkering, I did see that this Samsung unit has an Armv7 processor. So for fun I did try the instructions. I did complete the process but when it boots it takes me right back to Chrome OS (developer mode).

So I'm scratching my head. Since I want to boot into Arch I started snooping around for instructions.

I'll keep searching but if anyone has a good guide I would be be most APPRECIATIVE!
