[Raspberry Pi 4] KODI problems

If you install the rbp4 version option of kodi on completition its says 320 for gpu-mem

Also with swap use https://github.com/StuartIanNaylor/zram-config and it will create a zram swap for you.
Its a bit overcomplex for swap but worth a look as zram is much more than just swap and hate the normal zram-config that often circulates.
The Pi4 with the extra cpu power should really benefit.
On the chrome books they used to use 50% ram with a disksize 3 times ram used

I just started with kodi-standalone on the Pi4 and just trying a startx trial.
xorg is banging out but giving no error I can follow and whilst here I thought I would just ask as the kodi repo gives 7 options and saw the rbp4 version so went for that.
xorg is ok but kodi seems to quit

Which one are you chosing and have you got it running on just a bare xorg / kodi install?
Presuming the 7th option rbp4 for the pi4 but just wondering?

You can use zram even with 2gb especially on pi4 where the compression load is not felt at all.

For some reason the standard zram packages when creating swap still keep the hd params rather than ram params.

First one is mainly to show zram is more than just swap but if you just need swap then use zram-swap-config but both use ram optimised params.

The 2gb has just dropped in price and the 1gb is no more

What else are you running along with kodi? 1G should be enough if you've setup your /boot/config.txt as the post_install message directed.
