Analog Audio Not working in raspberry pi 4

Postby noyal » Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:04 pm

I am not getting audio from 3.5 mm audio jack in my raspberry pi 4. I have done a clean install of arch. I have installed pulseaudio, alsa-utils still iam not getting the audio.

The output of aplay -l is:
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: vc4hdmi0 [vc4-hdmi-0], device 0: MAI PCM i2s-hifi-0 [MAI PCM i2s-hifi-0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: vc4hdmi1 [vc4-hdmi-1], device 0: MAI PCM i2s-hifi-0 [MAI PCM i2s-hifi-0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

How to activate audio in rpi4 arch linux 32 bit? Can someone provide a detailed instruction or a workaround?
I tried to enable dtparam=audio=on in /boot/config.txt but still no output iam getting . I need audio to work through the analog located in the rpi4 board

For me, this helped.

/boot/config.txt
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'dtoverlay=upstream-pi4')
