I downloaded today's image:

ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz 07-Feb-2015 04:39 234815512

and installed on my new Pi-2 (16GB SD, HDMI-DVI monitor, keyboard only attached)

It boots OK to the login prompt but the first key I press on the keyboard causes a panic. It doesn't matter which key (even NumLk) Happens every time.

This doesn't happen with Raspbian (works fine) but I'd prefer to run Arch as that's what I have on my old Pi B.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes. I found the same problem when I updated today. I copied the older kernel7.img from the release archive I downloaded previously to /boot/ and was able to use my keyboard again. I installed the previous kernel packages again using this PKGBUILD https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... aspberrypi

gpu_mem_1024=256 in /boot/config.txt works too https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUILDs/issues/1086

Same problem here. I got a logitech K400 wireless keybord. When I insert the USB dongle the kernel panics. Inserting USB keyboard is first ok, but kernel panics when I hit the first key.

That fixed it for me:

[root@alarmpi ~]# uname -a
Linux alarmpi 3.18.6-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Feb 7 14:08:44 MST 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux

this is from tonight's image:

ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz 07-Feb-2015 21:20 234848300

Many thanks!

Update to the lastest version (pacman -Syu) also fixed that for me.
Thank you very much.

Updated to the last version too, no problems through but just one question, why i can only see 741 mb of RAM memory? RPIv2 is supposed to have 1Gb RAM shared between the GPU and the CPU.
I setted all gpu_mem_*=16 at /boot/config.txt, no changes through.

[root@alarmpi ~]# uname -ar
Linux alarmpi 3.18.6-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sun Feb 8 09:40:23 MST 2015 armv7l GNU/Linux
[root@alarmpi ~]# free
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 759660 23768 675628 8572 60264 708812
Swap: 0 0 0
[root@alarmpi ~]# cat /proc/meminfo
MemTotal: 759660 kB
...

Thank you for the god job
