[SOLVED]rasPI 3 b no audio with vga converter

Hi after installing alsa alsa-utils pulseaudio and pavucontrol (and rebooting ) and having raspberry plugged with a vga2hdmi converter i tested jack but i get no sound:

from pavucontrol from Configuration menu:
No cards available for configuration

audio is in groups

i did not change any conf file related to alsa or paudio

im using an vga2hdmi converter to screen hp without sound, so the only sound output is possible from jack

thanks you i cant reboot now, when the job is done in the next 2 days i will report the status.
dtparam=audio=on in /boot/config.txt works fine thanks you!
