ffmpeg-git or ffmpeg-full-arm (rpi 3 b)

Postby acconciox » Thu Jul 21, 2016 10:55 am

Hi, after compiling ffmpeg-git adding 'archv7h' in PKGBUILD and --enable-mmal in ./configure ffmpeg works fine and mpv compiled from mpv-git works fine also.
When i try to compile ffmpeg-full-arm-git (after removal of unsupported dependencies from aur) wich is already set arch 'armv7h' i cant get video on mpv compiled (mpv-git) it says something about dri2 or dri3 and vo rpi and i have only sound, if you have experience on compiling ffmpeg-full-arm-gi on rpi 3 b can you give me some advice?

I can't say I have heard of this version 'ffmpeg-full-arm'

Enabling mmal is probably all that is really needed.

--enable-mmal \
--enable-nonfree \
--enable-omx \
--enable-omx-rpi \
--enable-openal \
--enable-opencl \
--enable-opengl \

do i damage the compile if i enable those things? using this configuration (plus the usual stuff from PKGBUILDER iget hardware decode from h264.
Can you tell me if there is something not useful or bad for the compile?

--enable-asm
--enable-yasm
is armv7h able to take advantage of these features?
