Unable to boot Arch on Odroid XU4

Postby chippey5 » Sun Aug 14, 2016 5:21 pm

Hello!

I am having issues using Arch on eMMC on the Odroid XU4. As I am using Arch on my laptop I do the part (that according to the installation guide (https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/samsung/odroid-xu4). After doing the steps (both 1 and 2), I insert the eMMC in the corresponding slot in the XU4 and set it to boot from eMMC. Upon applying power to the device I get 1 heartbeat and the fan starts spinning. After that, nothing happens. I am used to frequent heartbeats from other images but this one seems corrupt or something.

I also tried finding the device on the router, does not appear. Tried flashing directly on a normal SD-card, same problem. A heartbeat, fans start spinning and then, nothing. Any ideas? :?

Thanks, still the same error as before. But after doing an "eMMC Recovery" and then reflashing both SD and eMMC with Arch, the XU4 gives a constant heartbeat light, fan goes to 100%, ethernet cable blinks after connecting it. Nothing is presented on the screen it is connected to and it is not reachable either when pinging. Any ideas?
