First time posting, my apologies if it doesn't fit within the usual guidelines...
Okay. Here goes. I'm using the following hardware:
-Raspberry Pi3
-Raspberry Pi Official Touchscreen Display
link: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/the-ea ... i-display/
-Touchscreen has a resolution of 800x480p.
Kodi does not like this screen when running in Arch. It forces a display resolution of 1280x720p, and has the setting greyed out so that I cannot change this resolution within the Kodi interface.
The touchscreen is connected using the DSI port and not an HDMI cable. I have manually set this in /boot/config.txt with the hopes of forcing the resolution within Kodi, but it did not change anything.
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=1
hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt=800 480 60 6 0 0 0
This display works excellently with my XFCE desktop environment running with Xorg. The display also works flawlessly when I've used OpenELEC with Kodi on it right out of the box; no configuration needed, Kodi picks up the resolution on ELEC with no issues.
Can you help me to force the 800x480p resolution that I need for a perfect display on Kodi while still running Arch ARM?
