[pi 2] No modules added to kernel image

Postby jabranham » Thu Mar 02, 2017 7:01 am

Hello -

Let me preface this by saying I know *very* little about how the kernel works.

When I ran `pacman -Syu` today, the kernel upgraded. During the post-transaction hooks, I received this message:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '==> WARNING: No modules were added to the image. This is probably not what you want.')

Is this something I should worry about? I've got a pretty basic setup on the pi; I haven't compiles my own kernel or anything.

Thanks!

Full output of pacman -Syu (note that this warning originally appeared when updating to 4.9.13-1 but I waited a day to see if the -2 would fix the problem).

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '

That's probably misleading, as OOBE there may be no modules needed by the initramfs

I have a fresh installation, and did a system upgrade last night to the 4.9.13-1 kernel, and just did another upgrade and picked up 4.9.13-2 that OP also picked up.

This post in another thread indicates that all is OK:

I also deleted the initramfs-linux.img in /boot and removed the config.txt entry for it - with it my pi didn't boot.
