Rpi3 and Kodi 17.1: CEC not working [Solved]

Postby sudcrow » Sat Apr 29, 2017 8:12 pm

Edit: noticed is my first post, even thought I read the forum a lot, Hello all :)

After the last pacman upgrade, I think, CEC stopped working.

Here is the error in the logs:

Is anyone else having this issue?

I'm not certain it was the pacman upgrade due to some changes I made to my setup (yes, I know, doing changes right after upgrading is not the wisest choice, but I was moving my library to MySQL so I could share the status across all my devices and needed all the nodes to have the same version).

The changes after the upgrade were related to the HDMI TV not having the right resolution and CEC not working if the TV was off and the rpi was restarted/powered-on. That's why I'm asking. To see if it has something to do with those changes (although i reverted them and didn't solve the issue), or is simply an issue with my setup and will have to investigate further enabling verbose logs.

Removed all the HDMI cables from the TV, unplugged all the power cords (TV and Rpi) and reset TV config for the EasyLink feature (Philips CEC). Plugged everything back and now its working. I'm closing as solved although I don't know why it stopped working in the first place.
