Firefox-ESR

Postby RMJ » Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:24 pm

I've just upgraded to firefox 55.0.3, and problems I still have:
- Netflix does not recognizes it as a "supported original browser"
- No Java
- No Flash

I'd be really happy with firefox-esr, are these binaries avaiable for armv7?

Tks!

No flash or java

Flash has never been officially available on Linux for arm.

You may have to change useragent in firefox for netflix to work. Google is your friend.

Tks, let me a little bit clear.

I'm able to open flash stuff stealing libs from my chromeOS on the machine.

Java was enabled, flash i'm not sure (in firefox), and only the esr version still suports it (that was what I was asking about).

I tried and tried fo play netflix under html5 on firefox, but for some reason, netflix calls my browser unsupported and asks to upgrade it, altought it IS the latest on arch repo, there are some stuff missing, like enabling DRM content. Cool stuff is that traillers are played, but not actual content.

On chromium I have the widevine libs stolen from my chromeOS, I user agented it to chromeOS, chrome, firefox, and everthing else... the closer i get is an error that asks to refresh the page (when using chromeOS agent).

tks again :D
