[solved] No wlan0 device on Raspberry Pi 3B+

Postby bernd7 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 5:39 pm

Hi,
I've got the real new 3 B+ model and set it up as usual (https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... berry-pi-3), especially using the ArchLinuxARM-rpi-2-latest.tar.gz image.

The Pi runs fine so far, i. e. the Pi itself, lan and the pi camera are working.
But there is no wlan0 device showing up in the ip link output.

I've already searched this forum and on another website ;)
Maybe the device is too new for the image and the driver's not included so far. Maybe the wlan device on my Pi is broken.

Does anybody know if the driver's already included?

(I'm posting in the ARMv7h forum since the installation web page also refers to v7...)

Kind regards

I have the same situation, so hopefully it's just that we are waiting on newer kernel/firmware.

Yeah, that was really fast :-)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[ALPM] upgraded firmware-raspberrypi (2-1 -> 3-1)')

Thanks for the hint, Havinit.
