I originally bought the RPI3 last year and ran Arch Linux Arm on it without issue. I've been busy with school lately and decided to get back to using it so I performed a fresh install but have noticed that the WiFi driver seems to be failing on startup.
During bootup:
"brcmfmac mmc1:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.txt failed with error -2"
After logging in, 'ip link' shows lo/eth0 and not wlan0.
However, if I 'rmmod cfg80211 brcmfmac' and do 'modprobe brcmfmac', wlan0 shows up fine, although I haven't been able to actually test connecting to a network yet.
I noticed this because I have an encrypted root partition setup to unlock over WiFI: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dm ... .2C_ppp.29 which previously had worked on the RPI as of last year, although since I haven't used it regularly since mid-last year up until now, I can't say for sure when the issue first started happening. Can anyone else reproduce this?
