You may try to run from a live image. Let say Archbang and install the driver in it.
Just to compare if a x86_64 makes a difference.
What about printing via USB ?

you might the Trenbolone a good solution need to increase the verbosity

well, a solution has been found.

the problematic package is glibc 2.28.

the solution is posted on this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 1#p1807341

a workaround patching cups-filters fixes the issue.
