nv-u-boot with vmlinux.kpart (Samsung Chromebook)

Postby pmarks » Sun Mar 31, 2019 10:32 pm

I'm trying to make my Samsung XE303C12 boot to Arch without the OS verification prompt. To that end, I installed nv-u-boot via these instructions (which happen to contain a copy of nv_image-snow.bin that a lot of people were looking for): viewtopic.php?f=60&t=11812

By default, it tries to load /boot/vmlinux.uimg from the USB drive.

However, the current version of ArchLinuxARM-armv7-chromebook-latest.tar.gz only provides these files:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '# ls -l boot/
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 36864 Mar 31 14:41 dtbs
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6549270 Mar 8 18:29 initramfs-linux.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7622656 Mar 4 20:23 vmlinux.kpart
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 6623480 Mar 4 20:23 zImage')

And https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... chromebook recommends writing the kernel to its own partition:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'dd if=root/boot/vmlinux.kpart of=/dev/sdX1')

How would I configure nv-u-boot to look for a kernel in this location?
