[Cubox-i]dhcpcd rebinding lease causes crash

For the past few months I have noticed my server becoming unresponsive. After a power cycle I can review the journal and see these last few entries each time I've had to hard reset:

No notes seem to clarify any specific application caused the crash, only the dhcpcd rebinding is common before journal stops & system becomes unresponsive.

I changed the leasing from one day to one week on the router to avoid having dhcpcd attempt to rebind daily, leading to perfect function for a week. Last night was rebinding day and, sure enough, had to hard reset.
Dhcpcd works fine on the first lease but fails at any rebinding. Is this a config issue or have others had similar issues?
