Ping hangs indefinitely

Hi Everyone,

I recently installed ArchLinux on a memory card on C100p. Chrome book. The process went straightforward until it completed and I rebooted. Upon reboot, it would start giving me errors about Networkd and volatile files. So, I followed Nikolas’ GitHub pagehttps://github.com/nikolas-n/GNU-Linux-on-Asus-C201-Chromebook about deleting a few networkd-service, timesyncd and resolv.Conf files. Since then the chrome book boots to login prompt. However I noticed that I could not run WiFi-menu with built in WiFi adapter, hence got myself a TPlink USB adapter. Now I’m able to connect to WiFi. But neither ping nor Pacman work. I can drill a URL specifying a nameserver or not. However anytime I try Ping, it just sits there forever. Same thing happens if I try to use Pacman and I can’t install or update anything.

Would anyone know how to get out of this stalemate. Thank you for any tips.
