Support for NSA325v2

Postby Automaton » Sun Feb 13, 2022 5:50 pm

HI all,

I have used arch arm a very long time ago on my NSA325 and I wish to reinstall it. Does anyone know if this NAS is still supported?
The support page does not list it as a supported platform.
The CPU is a Marvell Armada 370 (ARMv7)
Cheers,
A

IIRC Armada 370 does not support NEON instructions so it is not supported anymore

Thanks for the reply. I am not too familiar with ARM simd instructions. From what I gather this feature is not listed on the spec list for the cpu. It does contain a floating point unit (FPU). A quick google shows that Debian 11 should have support for it. I will try to frankenstein it in or perhaps upgrade this old machine. Thanks again.

The NSA325v2 had a Marvell Kirkwood Feroceon 88FR131 rev 1 (v5l) cpu - but that that is arm 5TE architecture - and arch linux has dropped arm v5 - then no it no longer supported. Mine though still runs fine. *doah* think mine is the original, and not the v2 ...
