Arch on Samsung Chromebook

Postby Inconsistency » Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:46 pm

I followed the instructions for installation under the platform, but cannot boot from my USB drive. I am using a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 32GB flash drive. I have also read that certain USB drives do not work. Could this be the case for my drive? If so, is there a known list of supported drives? I have an alternate drive but it is only 4GB in size and I'd prefer not to use it. My main purpose in installing Linux on the Chromebook is to run an office suite for classwork on the ultra-portable, and also to be able to code in Eclipse with Java without filling up the internal SSD. What are my options? These are the installation instructions I followed: http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7 ... chromebook

You are plugged into the USB2 port, right?

I'm using the USB 2.0 port if that's what you mean.
