Cubieboard2 won't boot

Postby forbi » Mon Sep 08, 2014 3:31 am

Hi, I followed this http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/allwinner/cubieboard-2
but cubie won't boot (it boots with cubian and other, but not with arch). I tried with 2 different micro sd, but no luck. Any ideas?

I had arch in the past, and i remember the instructions were different :(

PD:
When I say "won't boot" I mean: the blue led blinks 2 times in 1 second (for ever).

What, to you, defines "booted"

Boot for me is at least past the post and start the boot process (you know: bios>grub>kernel image>...). But the cubie does not even show a video signal. Is just dead with the blue led blinkig like mad man (2 per second) XD.

Sorry for the late reply.

Still, no boot process. No ssh, nothing. Is there a way to get older versions of the installer?

Do you have serial?

And ARM is not "bios > grub >... "

I know arm is not bios... You just asked what boot is for me.

What do you mean if I have serial? Can you detail a little bit?

Cheers

TTL 3.3v UART adapter, connectable to the UART pins on the Cubieboard2

That blinking blue light is probably heartbeat.

Nope I don't have a serial adapter :(. The strange thing is that other distributions work.
2 weeks ago arch was working on the sd, 3 days ago I performed a -Syu and the system asked to update u-boot. After that I cant find the way to make it booteable again.
Sorry for the rusty english

Immediate guess: it is just not currently loading up the HDMI as a vconsole.
