pcduino3 not booting with linux-sun7i

Postby jernst » Tue Mar 03, 2015 3:49 am

It does boot with linux-armv7 (but that kernel seems to have networking issues.)

With linux-sun7i, boot loader comes up, and it seems like the kernel is starting to run. But it never gets further than "Starting".
But then, the console text is being partially overwritten (!) or somehow different sections of the (text!) display overlap somehow: you can see a vertical line about 8 chars in.

It looks too weird, screenshot attached.

Can somebody verify that I'm not seeing things?

I'm told that there's a networking difference between pcduino3 (100Mbps) and pcduino3 nano (GBit), and that this might be the reason the armv7 kernel is not working for me. I don't have a regular pcduino, so I cannot verify that.

Could somebody update the web page to say "pcduino3 only (not nano)" or something like that? That'd be helpful.
