[RPi2] - Which kodi and libgl for RPi2

Postby maggie2 » Mon Mar 16, 2015 8:37 pm

I am new to Arch ARM. I have 2 questions about installing kodi on a RPi2.

#1. I see two packages but don't know what the difference is between the community and alarm repos and did not see anything about it on the Arch wiki :oops:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'community/kodi 14.1-2
A software media player and entertainment hub for digital media

alarm/kodi-rbp 14.1-4
A software media player and entertainment hub for digital media for the Raspberry Pi')

#2. I don't know which libgl is optimized for the RPi2.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', ':: There are 5 providers available for libgl:
:: Repository extra
1) mesa-libgl
:: Repository alarm
2) gpu-viv-bin-mx6q-dfb 3) gpu-viv-bin-mx6q-fb 4) gpu-viv-bin-mx6q-wl 5) gpu-viv-bin-mx6q-x11')

Thank you in advance.

You don't have an iMX6 :)

Which Kodi should be obvious.

Thank you. What does alarm stand-for anyway?

A.rch L.inux ARM.
Alarm repo = all packages that are strictly ours, not from upstream, not from aur.
