Best way to run Arch Linux on Android with ALSA audio

Postby okumedia » Sat Apr 18, 2015 10:10 am

hello,
i have been trying to run linux on my android with sound but all I have tried to do results to no sound
because they use VNC server. I later came across debian noroot app on Google Play but it runs only pulseaudio
and may not be able to run ALSA due to some issues known to the developer since the app is linux emulator.
today I saw a post on this forum on a success running ALSA audio on armv7 so I thought I should ask for someone to
direct me on how to do it.

I found this http://devwithopinions.blogspot.ca/2012/06/welcome-back-gnu-my-revenge-on-android.html but not sure if sound works.

Depends what the lernel for your device provides. If it has ALSA driver available then you just needs alsa utilities in userspace, if not you are pretty much SOL.
