Error in boot Arm Linux kernel on Zedboard

Postby Najem » Mon Feb 24, 2014 6:19 pm

Hey all,

I am working with the Zedboard. I would like to run the Arm Linux Kernel on it. I referred to this link http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/xilinx/zedboard for the installation instruction.

First, While preparing the SDcard for the boot, the second partition (mentioned as sdX2) shouldn't takes the default parameter ! Because, if we consider default parameter while partitioning, fdisk will reserve sector 0 to 8191 which is not enough to contain the Linux image. I choose for this partition free sectors remaining from the first partition (sdX1).

Then after configuring the U-boot, i turned on the board. I had the following error:

[ TIME ] Timed out waiting for device dev-mmcblk0p1.device.
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for /boot.
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Local File Systems.

Anyone have an idea about the problem or the solution ?

Thank you,
Najem

Not following the instructions caused the problem. Go back and follow the instructions.
