[PARTLY SOLVED] ODROID-C1: kodi-standalone?

Postby Holzhaus » Thu Jan 29, 2015 1:33 pm

Hi,

is it possible to run Kodi in standalone-mode (i.e. without X11 like on the Raspberry Pi)?

There is no kodi-standalone executable or systemd service. Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Jan

EDIT: Check this out.

OK, there IS an executable named "kodi-standalone", but if I try to run it as root:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@odroid-c1 ~]# kodi-standalone
which: no start-pulseaudio-x11 in (/home/jan/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)
which: no pulse-session in (/home/jan/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)

Just realized that you can run Kodi via systemd thanks to the AUR package "kodi-standalone-service".

This still starts an X server, but I'm ok with this, too.
